Logistics Learning Alliance: Continuing Professional Development Training & Courses

The Logistics Learning Alliance (LLA) aims to be the preferred training partner for any organisation wanting to improve the performance of their supply chain through the development of their people and their professional skills. We deliver learning programmes for managers and individual students wanting to develop their own, or their team's, professional skills. Our supported self study programmes are taken by students world-wide and we have students who are working in the most remote of locations.

Specialising exclusively in the development of logistics/supply chain personnel, Logistics Learning Alliance offer generic programmes (by a variety of learning methods) in sourcing, inventory, warehouse, production and transport at awareness, operational, tactical and strategic levels. We are happy to talk to individuals or organisations that see their supply chains as an integrated process rather than a series of stand alone functional silos.

The LLA deliver tailored learning programmes in supply chain and its component functions to a wide variety of organisations: commercial, public sector and Non-Government agencies.  We have a close working relationship with the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport (UK) and are very much involved in the ongoing development of their learning material - and we provide provide programmes for those delegates who want to gain a qualification.

Supply Chain Management: Supported Self Study

At Logistics Learning Alliance we deliver our training in a Supported Self-Study format which is ideal for individuals wishing to enhance their career by adopting a strategy of Continuing Professional Development. In this way distance learners have access to SCILworld (a simulated business environment, on CD-ROM) and a specialist coach who will provide strong support and guidance throughout the learning experience. Our coaches and assessors are all people who combine expertise in training with many years of relevant experience in commerce and industry. This method of learning can also be underpinned by workshops in the form of pre and post course work.

Benefits of LLA's Supported Self Study courses:

• Little and often. Learning is broken down into weekly digestible chunks (typically of anything from two to five hours duration), avoiding the demotivating impact of intimidating backlogs of work (often the case with traditional forms of distance learning) and enabling learners to gradually integrate the techniques learned into their normal working pattern.
• Coaching. Learners will have access to a specialist coach, who, while challenging the learner’s thinking will provide solid support and guidance making the loneliness of the long distance learner a thing of the past.
