Chelsea will continue the defence of their trophy with a trip to lower league opposition after yesterday's fourth-round draw. Rafael Benitez's side will visit either League One Brentford or Southend, from a league below, at the end of the month, and after scoring 21 goals in four domestic cup ties so far this season, will be heavily favoured to progress to the last 16.

Non-league Luton were handed top-flight opposition with a trip to Norwich City, while Macclesfield, playing in the fourth round for the first time in their 139-year history, could also face Premier League opposition, with Wigan and Bournemouth replaying for the right to visit Moss Rose.

Brighton & Hove Albion's reward for beating Newcastle United is another Premier League visit, Gus Poyet's side awaiting the winner of Swansea City's replay with Arsenal following yesterday's 2-2 draw.

Premier League champions Manchester City could face a rematch of their 2011 final success over Stoke City should Tony Pulis's side overcome Crystal Palace, while Manchester United face a home tie against either Fulham or Blackpool should Sir Alex Ferguson's team overcome West Ham United in next week's Old Trafford replay.

Tottenham Hotspur must travel to Championship opponents in either Leeds United, whom they beat at the same stage three years ago, or Birmingham City, while Liverpool, 2-1 winners at Mansfield yesterday, face a trip to League One Oldham Athletic. Aston Villa will travel to London to play Championship outfit Millwall.
