ALLMI Slinger / Signaller Novice Training
Up to 4 candidates will receive tuition to ALLMI standards for this course; providing theoretical, practical skills and knowledge in the use of lifting equipment, the handling of loads and signalling procedures, to become a competent Slinger Signaller.
The operative will learn to effectively and efficiently establish the weight and dimensions of loads, communicate this information via clear and unambiguous signals to direct the Crane Operator and select appropriate lifting equipment and accessories.
Suitability - Who should attend?
This Novice course is for a maximum of 4 Candidates that have no substantial prior experience with Slinging or Signalling
Outcome / Qualification etc.
Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive an ALLMI Slinger / Signaller Certificate and Pocket Permit.
Training Course Content
This course is split into two sections: Theory and Practical. T
he following Theory will be covered: Geometry of the sling, In service inspection, Safety precautions, Types of slings, Safe storage and handling, Recognised signals and Recommended crane signals.
The following Practical will also be covered: Completion of basic equipment safety checks, Use of various types of slings (industry relevant), Lifting beams, spreaders and frames, Shackles, Eyebolts and Hooks and Signalling.
The cost of this course is £990 + VAT.
