Stranger Things star Gaten Matarazzo is reportedly working at a New Jersey restaurant while filming on the show is delayed due to Covid-19.

The 17-year-old actor, who portrays Dustin on the Netflix series, has been earning money at a restaurant on Long Beach Island, New Jersey, where he works alongside family members.

Despite his fame, Matarazzo has not been bothered by customers thanks to a convenient disguise enabled by the pandemic: a large hat and a face mask, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Production on the fourth season of Stranger Things was postponed in March, mere weeks into the beginning of filming.

While the season was expected to have been released this autumn, the coronavirus pandemic meant production was shut down due to safety concerns. It is unclear when production will restart.

Last week (16 August), Matarazzo’s Stranger Things co-star Noah Schnapp confirmed that his Twitter had been hacked, after a number of racist and sexually inappropriate messages were tweeted from his account.

“Someone hacked my Twitter – it’s not me, I’m trying to get back and I’ll let you know when I do,” Schnapp wrote.
