ASTA Certificate for Business Continuity Professionals

There is an ever-increasing need today to properly understand the role and capabilities of a Modern Business Continuity Management Professional and how Business Continuity can best support the business or client.
Unit 2: Threats of Today and Tomorrow
This unit covers current and emerging Business Continuity and resilience threats facing organisations.
Unit 3: What is Business Continuity Management?
This unit describes the extensive Business Continuity Management (BCM) and resilience measures available for reducing Business Continuity risks.
Unit 4: Business Continuity Management Risk Mitigation
Business Continuity Management Risk Mitigation introduces the BCM Risk Assessment methodology and how to reduce Business Continuity risk through the implementation of Business Continuity Management measures.
Unit 5: Business Continuity Management and Convergence
Business Continuity Management and Convergence (working with other security functions) introduces the modern approach of security convergence, which is essential for the effective and efficient mitigation of Business Continuity risk in the complex world of today.
Unit 6: Business Continuity Management and Incident Management
This unit introduces the role that BCM has when a breach of security, an incident or crisis occurs and additional Business Continuity measures are required.
Unit 7: Business Continuity Management being Modern
This unit explores the topic of Business Continuity Management with a truly innovative set of ideas and measures to reduce Business Continuity risk and enhance an organisation’s success.
Unit 8: Research Management and Dissertation
This final unit will explain how to conduct primary and secondary research and the basic principles of Harvard style referencing in order to complete the final report. You will also complete a final essay on what you have learnt on this course.
