This unit describes the risk assessment methodology and how to reduce risk through the implementation of correct physical security measures. This unit will also discuss the vocabulary of defence-in-depth.
Physical Security and Convergence (physical security working with other security functions) introduces the modern approach of security convergence which is essential for the effective and efficient way to mitigate risk in the complex world of today.
This unit introduces the role that physical security has when a breach of security happens, or an incident or crisis happens and additional physical security measures are required to investigate and minimise from future breaches or incidents.
This unit brings the topic of physical security up to date with a truly modern set of ideas and measures to reduce risk and to be more successful. You will also be presented with scenarios to create modern physical security approaches to secure an organisation and its assets.
This final unit will explain how to conduct primary and secondary research and the basic principles of Harvard style referencing in order to complete the final report. This unit ends with a final essay on what you have learnt from the course.
