This interactive two day programme will transform people at all levels into effective work coaches and mentors, enabling them to apply coaching and mentoring techniques immediately in everyday work situations. It will also provide a measurable standard to any internal coaching currently offered.

By the end of the programme participants will be able to:

  • Demonstrate the difference between a Coach and Mentor
  • Understand when it is appropriate to coach or mentor an individual or a combination of the two
  • Define preferred learning styles and understand how people learn
  • Understand how to build real confidence in others
  • Use coaching and mentoring models
  • Apply practical coaching and mentoring skills in everyday work situations to increase performance and make communication easier
  • How to develop the performance of individuals
  • Demonstrate their new learning’s by way of a theory test on coaching and mentoring in the workplace
  • Complete an Action Step Personal Development Plan of key skills they need to work on as a developing coach/ mentor

Suitability - Who should attend?

This programme has been designed for all tiers of Management with significant responsibility for coaching and mentoring as part of their everyday role. Alternatively, this course is ideal for anyone involved in people development (HR and Learning and Development) or anyone wanting to become a freelance Business Coach.

Module Four - Putting learning into practice

  • Building a bank of great coaching questions.
  • Demonstration of what has been taught
  • Individual feedback from a professional coach

  • Getting started as a work coach/ mentor
  • Group review and feedback on new learning’s.
  • Action steps for new coaches
  • Individual Action Plans
  • Bringing the Learning to life
