Course description

This introductory course to experimental camera-less photography, explores alternative ways of creating images by the interaction of light with photosensitive materials, chemicals and objects.

This course is suitable for anyone who wants to experiment with the earliest form of photography and who will enjoy working with direct and unpredictable outcomes in a creative way.

We have a dedicated, well-equipped, specialist black and white darkroom and photographic studio. You will be taught by an experienced artist who is specialising in photochemistry.

Continuing Studies

This course will teach you how to make cyanotypes and photograms with and without specialist equipment. This will allow you to continue experimenting with both processes further at home at your own pace. Or, if you enrol onto the day course, we have a 8 week course available.
