This Introduction to Negotiation course is designed to provide an overview of the fundamental elements of the negotiation process, together with the underpinning psychology surrounding basic negotiation methods.

CIPS' expert trainers will ensure that you know how to plan and prepare for a negotiation, how to develop leverage, when to use a range of persuasion tools and when to deploy different tactics. In addition to gaining an awareness of your own negotiation style, you will learn the difference between negotiation and influence and develop the ability to recognise & counteract a range of persuasion tactics.

By the end of the course, delegates will have a solid understanding of the essential negotiation skills needed to secure positive outcomes, helping their organisation improve savings yield, mitigate risk and hence increase contribution to the bottom line.
