Child and Adolescent Mental Health: Early Identification and Assessment (CAMH) - CPD accredited course at City University London

The module is especially useful for professionals interested in developing knowledge and understanding of early identification of emotional, behavioural and social problems when working with children, young people and their families.

It explores important theoretical practices in assessing and intervening used in promoting resiliency. A greater understanding of the concepts and contemporary theories can be gained from reflecting these issues. In addition, the candidates will be able to identify key principles that encourage greater knowledge in key influential policy and legislation.

Suitability - Who should attend?

The training course is for professionals who have the following requirements:
· A current professional registration with a relevant professional/statutory body or equivalent
· At least one year's experience working in, for example: voluntary sector, social work, education, primary care, mental health nursing, psychology, psychiatry, criminal justice, residential workers and those who are currently working in an agency with responsibility for aspects of inter-professional practice relating to their own discipline
· A satisfactory academic reference and/or a satisfactory clinical reference.

Overseas students can only apply as part of a programme and not as a stand-alone module.
Applicants whose first language is not English need to demonstrate their English language proficiency. The minimum requirements are:
· IELTS: 7 overall with a minimum of 7.0 in each component.

Please note that due to changes in the UKVI's list of SELTs, City University London no longer accept TOEFL as evidence of English language proficiency for students who require a CAS as of April 2014.

Expenses

The cost of this CPD course for UK/EU applicants is £1000 per delegate (no VAT will be charged) which covers course materials, lunch and refreshments.
