Management of Information Security and Risk: Assurance Cases

Management of Information Security and Risk: Assurance Cases - CPD accredited course at City University London

This course will help you get an idea about the management of information Security and Risk. The generalised idea about assurance cases are justifying and communicating the dependability of critical systems. Claims, arguments and evidence are the three key concepts of assurance cases. Often assurance cases are part of a safety and security management process. Assurance cases are often embedded within a safety and security management practice and often within an authoritarian or licensing process that assures the scope for independent challenge and review. These can play a vital role during audits and reviews together with incident management and investigation. There can be an exercise of facts from preceding events in the framework of fresh assurance cases. This course is generated from the MSc in Management of Information Security and Risk.
