Managing Change (e-learning) - CPD accredited course at City University London

This module is designed to provide a wholly analysed consideration of the principles and practices of change management in healthcare environments. This course will also provide the basic knowledge of the theoretical concepts and models supporting change management. After taking this course, there will be an allowance for critical evaluation and application of these theories in various health services setting on strategic, organisational and individual grounds.

The knowledge acquired from completing this course will make it easier for one to get, partake in and manage change in healthcare firms.

Suitability - Who should attend?

This training course is for:

Overseas students can only apply as part of a programme, not as a stand-alone module 

Entry requirements for BSc Health Sciences (online) programme:

  • 120 Level 4 credit points and 120 Level 5 credit points in healthcare related subjects

Entry requirements for study as a stand-alone module:

  • Current registration with a professional and regulatory body (healthcare)

Applicants whose first language is not English need to demonstrate their English language proficiency. The minimum requirements are:

  • IELTS: 7 overall with a minimum of 7.0 in each component.

Please note that due to changes in the UKVI's list of SELTs City University London no longer accept TOEFL as evidence of English language proficiency for students who require a CAS as of April 2014.

Training Course Content

The module aims to:

  • Help you to understand and critically evaluate the motives and drivers on which organisational change is predicated
  • Equip you with an overview and understanding of the theories and concepts which are the basis of successful management of organisational change
  • Allow you to think reflectively about your own ability to tolerate and manage change
  • Enable you to critical evaluate espoused theories and models and thereafter to construct change strategies within the limitations of such theories and models
  • Allow you to reconcile the hard pragmatics of change with the softer human skills required for successful and sustainable change.


The cost of this CPD course for UK/EU applicants is £650 per delegate (no VAT will be charged), which covers course materials, lunch and refreshments.
