This is a classroom based activity, with each section of BS7671: 2018 regulations forming the basis for lecture/discussion. Candidates will gain knowledge of rules applied to the design, installation and testing of electrical installations.
The level 3 certificate C&G 2382-18 is awarded on the successful completion of a multi-choice online, open book examination (examination takes place on a separate evening following course completion).
It is recognised by industry, and was developed in conjunction with the NICEIC, ECA and Summit skills; the sector skills council for building service engineering.
Assessment:
The sessions are all theory based, comprising of a series of lectures based on each section of BS7671. The theory is supported through the completion of structured questions designed to encourage the candidate to use the text extensively.
Career Opportunities:
Candidates successfully completing this course could be able to progress on to one of the following:
- Award in the Initial Verification & Certification Periodic Inspection of Electrical Installations (2391-52) - A pre-course assessment to determine suitability will be required before enrolling on to the 2391-52 course.
