Leader Who Challenges: Engaging with Behaviour and Performance Concerns

One of the most challenging, important and often avoided aspects of leadership is the willingness to challenge behaviour, attitude and performance. If this is avoided, the person in question might not know what is expected of them and does not have an opportunity to grow and improve. In addition, the perception to others could be that you are a weak leader and avoid conflict. If challenge is done without preparation and sensitivity it can also harm relationships and your own reputation. In many organisational surveys, this is often cited as a leadership competency that is not done well.

This workshop explores the delicate and necessary subject of providing constructive feedback and setting standard expectations in a way that inspires, encourages and galvanises others to reach higher standards.
