ILM Certified 4 week LIVE E-Learning Project Management Skills for Executive Assistants. Wednesday 27th January 2021, Wednesday 3rd February, Wednesday 10th February, Wednesday 17th February 2021 at 1pm-2pm GMT.

From developing managerial strengths, showing PA leadership and representation of your Executive at meetings and events, the role of EAs & PAs has become one of professional business and administrative support. Executive Assistants & Personal Assistants are now tasked with managing multiple projects e.g organising client dinners, complex global travel itineraries, town hall meetings, AGMs, logistics of business pitches, exhibitions and events. The complex demands and variety of the tasks require astute planning, coordination and team work. This 4 week E-Learning programme ensures that Executive Assistants & Personal Assistants develop the skills, flexibility and confidence to execute large and small projects and events in a timely manner, whilst understanding the theory, terminology and practices of Project Management.

27th January 2021. Module 1: What is Project Management?

  • Overview of key project management models
  • Introduction to the theory and practices that make up Project Management
  • Define what we mean by project working and how it differs from the day job.
  • Define what constitutes a project and how to create successful projects

3rd February 2021. Module 2: The Project Lifecycle

  • Determining the approach to manage projects – The Project Lifecycle
  • Understanding the 4 phases of the project lifecycle, Initiation, Planning, Execution and Control and Closure
  • Discover how to work with each stage of the cycle
  • Review your project using gate reviews, post reviews and benefit reviews

10th February 2021. Module 3: Managing a Project or Event

  • Common project management terminology
  • What makes a good Project Manager
  • How to break a project or event down into separate phases
  • How to write a project/event plan
  • Risk Management - discover how to assess the risk to your event

17th February 2021. Module 4. Group Work on Completing a Project Management Case Study

  • Learners work in groups on managing a Project Management Case Study live online

e.g. Identify the task, set milestones, objectives, work breakdown structure, team roles and responsibilities, risk assessment, delivery of the project.
