This course is for anyone who has completed a beginners course or has basic jewellery making knowledge, and is interested in expanding and developing their experience, skills, craftsmanship and creativity.
COURSE CONTENT
Students will gain knowledge and skills in the following: Advanced soldering Wire making Basel strip Cabochon setting Finishing techniques Designing and making own piece of jewellery As part of your course and where the opportunity occurs literacy/numeracy together with speaking and listening skills will be developed.
STUDY METHODS
Demonstrations, practical work, group and 1:1 support, handouts.
HOW IS THE COURSE ASSESSED
Work produced, discussion with the tutor, peer review of work, learning plans
WHERE NEXT - FURTHER STUDIES
Students may continue with a follow course and develop their skills further to make more complex items of jewellery.
