Course Description

Aircraft Weight and Balance

5-day Classroom Course by IATA Training

This Aircraft Weight and Balance course instructs delegates in the principles of aircraft weight and balance according to the industry standard IATA Design Manual and Automated Load Sheet.

The 5-day programme is designed primarily for future load controllers looking to prepare for the more extensive Load Controller Certification. Beginning with an overview of the basic theory of flight, it goes on to cover the core technical principles of aircraft weight and balance, helping participants become more familiar with industry concepts and terminology. Using a number of practical examples and exercises, it then provides them with a deeper understanding of the purpose, design and compilation of load-sheets. Indexes, drop line trim charts and manual load/trim sheets are also covered.

By the end of the all-encompassing course, delegates will thus have developed a solid understanding of both the theoretical and practical aspects of effective load control.
