Food Allergy Awareness Training
Our Food Allergy Awareness Course is part of our Food Hygiene bundle, helping you to work towards compliance with legislation. This training is essential for those producing, selling or handling food.
One in three people with known allergies have reported having an allergic reaction in a restaurant. So all staff should understand the importance of the 14 major allergens and the dangers of them.
The IOSH Approved & CPD Accredited course can be completed in just 35 minutes and provides the user with a printable certificate upon completion of the end-of-training test. This training course will help your organisation towards compliance with current legislation.

This Food Allergy Awareness Training course concludes with a 20 question multiple choice test with a printable certificate. Your certificate will include; any approvals or accreditations the course has, your name, your mark, the date you received the certificate and the date of expiry.

Training Course Content
This training course is broken down into 3 sections
Section 1: What are Allergens?
This section will look at what allergens are, the 14 major allergens and how they can affect people including allergic reactions.
Section 2: The Laws Regarding Food
This section will cover the relevant legislation regarding foods and food products that help keep consumers safe and your legal requirements.
Section 3: Cross Contamination and How to Avoid It
This final section will cover the importance of avoiding cross-contamination and the risks associated with it, including cleanliness, machinery, workplace design, organisation and storage areas.
