Course description

Etching and Printmaking: This course is suitable for both the experienced printmaker and the beginner. Students are encouraged to bring in their own sources of inspiration, be it in the form of sketch books or photographs. These ideas are then transformed into a suitable print form. Techniques covered will include traditional etching, drypoint, collagraphs and linocuts. The print studio has presses for all these forms, which are known as relief and intaglio printing. A range of materials to support the student's work such as metal, plastic or lino plates can be purchased throughout the course.Students are required to bring an apron, a notebook but more importantly their own ideas to the course., By the end of the course students should be able to-, ,
