Course description

Paediatric First Aid at Work

The Paediatric First Aid Course is a legal requirement in the UK. This qualification meets the requirements for first aid training, as detailed in the Department for Education’s Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), as well as those for Childcare Registration and Ofsted.

Know-How & Consultancy Training Ltd provides an extensive training for individuals who care for children and babies. This two-day course provides the skills and knowledge necessary when dealing with various paediatric conditions and incidents.

Suitability - Who should attend?

This qualification is available to learners 14 years of age or older. However, they may be unable to act as a Paediatric First Aider in a workplace before they reach the age of 16.

Candidates are recommended to have literacy of Level 1 Paediatric First Aid at Work, or its equivalent. A candidate’s skill and ability to respond to the physical demands of a real-life situation will also be gauged.

A reasonable adjustment for candidates who have a disability, a medical condition, or learning need may be possible. Interested candidates may contact us to discuss the details.

Outcome / Qualification etc.

Upon successful completion, learners will be awarded a Paediatric First Aid Level 3 certificate by First Aid Awards (FAA) — a body regulated by SQA Accreditation and Of qual. This qualification will be valid for three years. Know-How Training Ltd’s qualifications are aligned with that of the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) and the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF).
