What you will learn
At the end of the program, participants should be able to: Select and apply the most appropriate sensory tests; test panels; test environments and test samples to address typical sensory questions and problems faced everyday by the food industry.Have a basic comprehension of the current theories on the way food is perceived by the different senses (sight, smell, feeling, taste and sound).Understand and explain where Sensory Evaluation as a scientific discipline can be used and what its role is within food companies.Explain the purpose and nature of analytical and affective Sensory Evaluation as well as which types of panels are applicable in each of these situations.Take note of the different Sensory Evaluation techniques and evaluation scales that are used internationally and be able to distinguish these according to nature and purpose.
Certification
Participants will receive CPD hours and a certificate of attendance at the end of this course.
