Course description

Music Theory: Grade 6 Stage 1

This is a new course for all those wishing to prepare for the Grade 6 Theory exam, and for those with an intermediate understanding of music theory who wish to develop their interest further.

Suitability - Who should attend?

Students must have Grade 5 Theory or the equivalent knowledge/practical experience. Players and singers of intermediate experience/ability would also benefit from this course. Keyboard skills are desirable and will greatly facilitate study.

Training Course Content

This course aims to develop your understanding of more complex areas of music theory, as prescribed by Trinity syllabus. It will also help you develop the tools necessary for writing down your own musical ideas.

Continuing Studies

Instrumental lessons, choir singing, further theoretical studies; studying for higher grade examinations, practical and theory.
