Explore the development of Western Music from the Classical to the Romantic period and get familiar with some of the greatest musical works composed by Beethoven, Schumann, Brahms, Chopin and others.

What will you learn

The classes are a lecture format with discussions. We will be listening to extracts of music, looking at some scores (this activity is made accessible to all including those with no previous knowledge of reading notation associated with Western Art Music), looking at some videos, debating and discussing ideas. Further reading and listening is provided.
