Professional Hat Making: Buckram/Paris Net Foundation Fabric Hats
This course will encourage you to develop your own style to create stunning hats or headpieces. You will be taught various techniques necessary to create and develop designs for fabric hats on buckram and paris net foundation.

Non regulated SFA formula funded provision, Level 2, Crafts, Creative Arts and Design, 21 to 44 hrs, PW C

What you will learn
After examining and discussing examples and samples of hats, the tutor will demonstrate a variety of cutting, stitching, construction and finishing techniques, and how to safely shape foundation materials using hat blocks and steam & hot iron. Handouts and illustrated reference books will be used as support for design and skill development. Teaching will be in groups and on an individual, one-to-one basis and you will be encouraged to develop your creativity.In order to ensure that you make the best possible progress on your course, you will have regular feedback from your tutor, in a constructive and supportive environment.
