The Access to Higher Education course provides an alternative route to Higher Education for adult students. It is designed for adults (19 years of age and older) who would like to progress to study at university. Each subject will take 3.5 hours of classroom time in addition to a minimum of 3.5 hours of independent study. Including Study Skills, this should take approximately 25 – 30 hours a week full-time or 15 – 20 hours a week part-time. Classes can be taken during the day-time or evening depending on your choice of subjects. The ACCESS to HE diploma, validated by ASCENTIS, will earn you 15 ungraded and 45 graded level 3 credits, which is recognised accreditation for entry into university.Students can choose from a variety of diplomas: Allied Health Professions, Health & Social Care Professions, Humanities, Humanities with Mathematics, Nursing & Midwifery, Primary Teaching, Science and Social Sciences.
