Introduction
Clothesmaking is a great skill to have if you're interested in working in fashion or going on to do a higher level fashion course. This practical introductory course is suitable for beginners and will teach you the basic professional techniques of clothesmaking.
By the end of the course, you'll be able to:
Thread and use a sewing machine and overlocker.
Choose appropriate fabrics
Make a pair of drawstring or elastic waist trousers or skirt.
Use a tailors dummy
There will be individual and group tuition, with teacher led discussions and demonstrations.
Assessment
Teacher feedback, individual learning plans, student and peer self-assessment.
