Social carers dedicate their lives to empowering struggling or vulnerable people. These hardworking, accountable individuals are essential to society. For many people, a good social carer can make life manageable and bearable. This Level 4 distance learning course has been designed to educate students about the importance of accountable social work practice.
During the course of the online qualification students will study six modules. These engaging, educational units will teach students about protecting people, working in partnership, supporting people and quality assurance. Altogether there are 200 hours of material to complete, however we recommend that you take all the time you need to complete the work.
If you are thinking of getting in to social care, then this course could be for you. If you are already a social carer, this course could help you develop professionally. This course is also suitable for anyone with a general interest in social care.
At Stonebridge College, we do not ask that our home study students have any prior experience or qualifications. As long as students have access to our online portal, are willing to learn and are interested in social care, they are welcome to enrol.
On completion of this course, you will have a solid understanding of the importance of accountability in social care. If you are not already a social worker, you may choose to continue studying towards a degree in social work.
