This NCFE Level 3 Diploma in Counselling Skills RQF qualification (600/0727/8) is an excellent way to gain in-depth knowledge and practical insight into some of the main, core theories that represent the cornerstones of counselling.

The 5 units and the assignments have been designed to help you get the most out of this course. As a result, you will learn how to apply practice to theory, by developing your own counselling skills, finding out what theories underlie them, the role ethics play in counselling and how it all comes together in driving personal development for yourself as well as others.

Am I required to do a placement?

In order to complete this level 3 certificate in counselling skills, you will need to demonstrate your skills with an evidence-based portfolio. As you interact with a few case study scenarios, you will submit audio / video evidence to demonstrate your skills. This will not only help you to memorise the concepts you learn about, but it will also boost your confidence in applying your counselling skills to real life situations in the future.

You will also need to take part in learning activities, present a reflective account of your experiences and keep a development journal.
