The course will establish an in depth range of methods of drawing & painting through the use of sketchbook, photographs, found images or direct observation

What will we cover?

You will be encouraged to further develop skills in tone, colour, composition and perspective
Develop independent learning and a more individual approach to using a range of drawing and painting materials. The course will include both objective and abstract themes.
Have access one to one support and group discussion
The overall aim is to help you develop personal expression through a mixture of practice, discussion and demonstration techniques.

Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?

For improving and advanced painters with a good basic knowledge of the subject. Particularly for those who want to be encouraged to develop ‘outside the box’

As our courses are taught in English, please contact us if you have any concerns about your level of English.

What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?

Bring whatever drawing & painting materials you may already have purchased, or a pad of A3 cartridge paper, soft grade of pencils (4B or 6B), soft rubber and/or a graphite stick for the first session.
Any materials and resources that you may need throughout the course will be discussed at induction.

What can I do when I finish the course?

To progress on to other more advanced courses in other media and join art groups and societies An opportunity to develop further within the same class and to make friends

Additional information

Learners are expected to bring their own materials. Some less common or unusual materials may be brought in by tutor or instruction given on where you can purchase items
