Sensory gardens will give you the pure enjoyment of having plants that stimulate your senses; they have been used for the benefit of healing the mind body and soul and have been show to prompt memory and it is a calming way to commune with nature for everyone.

What will we cover?

On this one-day workshop we will look at your own outdoor space and find out what you want from it, we will look at ways to encourage a natural habitat for birds and insects and use fragrant flowering plants, boarder shrubs and a variety of different herbs.

There will be indoor demonstration and group discussion and will include: the benefits of gardening to the environment, the social and therapeutic aspects; identifying different sensory plants; the sensory aspects to planting grasses and creating ‘rooms’ or points of interest with seasonal colour and scent.
