Course description

Hand Embroidery - Experimenting with Stitches

During this workshop we will take some well known stitches and explore some different ways to expand their uses with more advanced variations.

What will we cover?

We will look at the importance of sampling with various types of threads and sizes to get different effects as well as combining different stitches to create a catalogue of samples as a reference when designing embroidery projects.

Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?

For beginners who want to try something new and improvers that want to refresh their knowledge and explore new techniques with guidance. All abilities welcome but some knowledge will be an advantage.

As our courses are taught in English, please contact us if you have any concerns about your level of English.

You will also need an 8-inch ring frame, which you can bring along if you have one or can be purchased on the day from the tutor at a cost of £3, there will also be some optional items for sale on the day
